COMPUTER HISTORY
The development of computers and the invention of the
differential and analytical engine in 1822, Charles babbage invented the first
mechanical computer, inspired by pascalin,it was called the differential engine
.He created odd machines like “Differential Engine” and “ Analytical
Engine” whuich could calculate
correctly.
HISTORY -:
The history of computer is about 3000 years old. First of
fall abacus mechanical device found in china.
ABACUS MACHINACAL DEVICE -: Abacus is a fream of wires .These wired
contain threads of beaded (baked clay shells ) . Initially Abacus was used in
the business of calculating traders.
BLASE PASCAL-: A mechanical digital calculator was
developed in 1645 by the French mathematician Baize Pascal in the 17th
century. Because it could only add or
subtract. This machine worked on the
principal of clock and odometer. There were many toothed wheels in it , which
used to rotate , the teeth of the chakras were numbered form 0 to 9, each cycle
had a local value.
CHARLES BABBAGE -: The 19th century is considered the
golden age of early times in the history of computers. English mathematician
Charles babbage developed the need to develop a mechanical calculating machine.
Charles babbage built a machine in 1822, The machine was named Difference
Engine, the machine was equipped with
gears and soft. Babbage has been a major contributor to the development of
computers. Charles babbage is called the
father of computer science.
DR.HOWARD AIKEN’S MARK – 1 -: Four top IBM engineers and Dr.howard aiken developed a Machine in 1944.it was the
world’s first “electrical mechanical” computer.offical name – Automatic
Sequence Controlled Calcutator. It
could do to times in 6 seconds and 1 in 12 seconds. Its Mark-1
named Howard university.
ATANASOFF – BERRY COMPUTER (A.B.C.) -: In
1945,Atanasoff and Clifford berry developed an electronic machine. ABC was
the first electronic digital computer.
